Activities

• On May 12, 2006 CAISS hosted a conference on Complexity and Computation.

  The increasing complexity of current research in mathematics and science has highlighted a greater dependence on computation. The conference dealt with various aspects of computation including the exciting area of computer assisted proofs and the potential power of quantum computing. The talks were geared to a general audience of graduate students and academics in science, mathematics, and engineering.

• On January 20th, Professor Ben Fine from the University of Fairfield , Conecticut, demonstrated the CAISS statistics package CAISS-Stat at Stuyvesant High School. More than 130 students attended the demonstration and Stuyvesant has agreed to try out a beta version of our software.
