The Center for Algorithms and Interactive Scientific Software (CAISS) at The City College of New York is home to a wide range of researchers and supports a range of projects. These include a number of open-source software projects in computational algebra, symbolic mathematics, statistics, computational biology and scientific computation.

Markus Stricker has been made the Deputy Director of Caiss and Stefan Kunz has joined Caiss as a Research Scientist for Technology. They will be working, in particular, on the further development of CAISS-Stat.


CAISS held the second conference on science, mathematics and computer science, sponsored by the Grove School of Engineering and the Division of Science of the City College of New York entitled: Various faces of cryptography on November 10, 2006.
